As Thanksgiving and Christmas approach, I was wondering what families traditionally do for the holidays? How do you involved your small child in making Thanksgiving dinner? Do you collect special ornaments for the Christmas tree? Are there special crafts or gifts you and your child make each year?
I have bought my daughters a Christmas ornament every years since they were boarn 15 years ago. I try and find an ornament that has something to do with what they were up to that year. When they were 7, it was a ballerina because they were dancing then, when they were 10 it was a puppy because we had gotten one that year.

Tell me what you all do with your kids traditionally during Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, etc.

Some peoples going to good place for spend their holidays. I m also going to tenerife when I have some vacations. It gives me relief from any depression and our mind comes fresh.
I love traditions. One tradition that my family has is to watch a movie together every week. This week we are looking forward to CBS Film's Extraordinary Measures starring Harrison Ford and Brendan Fraser.

I have had the opportunity to see alot of materials for the movie at my job (a marketing company), and I am really inspired. The plot is based on the true story of John Crowley who goes to great lengths to find a cure for his children's life threatening disease (pompe's). It shows just how deep a parent's love for their children can be.
